for a long time i really liked number 3, and i still do because of the whole 'expecto patronum' spell that harry spent so long learning and that time when he actually produced a really good stag and it was just crabbe goyle and malfoy dressed up, you just can't beat those moments where harry gets it right and he thinks that he's winning..it's just so adorably naive but i re-read number three and i must say that the writing style did seem a little more childish to me than the last time i read it. books 1 and 2 now seem very childish and 3 unfortunately is heading into that catagory. number 4 is very long and full of plot which makes it more interesting - there's more stuff to remember and therefore more stuff to rediscover when you forget about it number 5 i felt was too..disheartening, instead of giving readers a sense of being uplifted i think number 5 was quite a drag - i mean, losing sirius, that wasnt nice even though it IS the wizarding world and you know that he's not really gone... harry just whined so much. i think that JK might be getting bored with the whole thing, and really who could blame her after writing so much material and having to answer so many of the same questions, time and time again, it's like a group of friends that you just see too often y'know? book 5 was good though, because all the books are good, there's no escaping that. I have to say Goblet of Fire is my most favorite. It would be Order of the Phoenix if not for one small inicident After GoF comes Order of the Phoenix then Prisoner of Azkaban then Chamber of Secrets then Sorcerer's Stone--not because they're bad or anything but the books keep getting better.

LOL I need to re-read the books, I need to establish the favourite again. For so long I said it was CoS but I think that was because of the movie, not the book...

I'm not sure. Goblet of Fire used to be my favorite, then it was tied with Prisoner of Azkaban, then I liked Order of the Phoenix, then I liked Prisoner of Azkaban the most. Hey, it's not that I don't have opinions. I have plenty of opinions. Keeping them is what I have trouble with ;D

I like the Prizoner of Azkaban best for many reasons. First, it reveals, I think, more from past than other booksfor now. And then, it introduces Sirius who I like a lot. But it introduces also REMUS who I like most!!! ;D ;D ;D

it reveals, I think, more from past than other booksfor now. Yes, it reveals how Sirius tried to kill Severus... I like GOF because it reveals a little more about Snape's past (for example the fact that he's been a Death Eater) and I like the Death Eater action in the end of the book.

I just read a bit of POA (mainly the Lupin bits, hehe) and man, it's so different! I didn't realise just how much they'd changed in the movie til I read it... and man... they really should have kept a lot of that stuff in...
Oh wells... *fingers crossed for a Directors Cut on DVD*...

Yes, it reveals how Sirius tried to kill Severus... Huh? You lost me there....the book never said anything about Sirius trying to kill Snape, did it?

I think she was talking about the joke that Sirius played on Snape to get him near Werewolf-Lupin ...

Oh, well he wasn't trying to kill Snape. James even saved him when the joke got out of hand.
